Hey friends, today I am here to give some tips on how to prepare for an exam. I hope that if you follow these steps, you will surely score good results. It’s from my own personal experience and how I study during my exams. So you must know how to prepare for an exam.
Board Exams are one of the crucial parts of one’s life. It is regarded as the biggest exam in one’s life. It is the main turning point in one’s carrier. Because depending on the outcome of the exams, the students would choose the stream (Science, Humanities or Commerce) they like to pursue as their profession.
- Organising your Study Space:
A clean and sufficient study space to spread your books and notes is important for concentration in the studies. Try to avoid all the distracting objects near you during the studies and be comfortable and focused.
- Making of a Proper Time Table:
Time management is one of the prudential factors during the preparation of the exams. For the proper utilization of every second, it is necessary for a student to make a proper timetable. Follow the timetable, just don’t make it and keep it aside.
- Use Mind Maps and Diagrams:
The use of Visual Aids is really very helpful during revisions. At the beginning of the topic, try to write down everything you know about the topic and then point out the where the gaps prevail. Condensing of your notes into a single-page visual when your exams are fast approaching turns to be useful.
- Practicing the Sample Papers or Previous Years Papers:
One of the most productive way to prepare for your exams is to practice the sample papers as well as the previous year question papers. This will help you to get used to the pattern of questions. This will also enable you to make sure that you spent the right amount of time in each section.
- Revising the Notes Well:
Do not read or study any new topic before the exams as it may create a mess. Revise the notes that you have studied and take a glimpse at the important notes and formulae. Make notes on the important topics and keep them handy so that you can have a glance at the notes when you want. Create a weekly revision schedule when you have completed the entire syllabus for the exam.
- Drink a lot of water:
Being well hydrated is important for our brain as well as our body to perform at its best. Make sure that you drink a lot of water to remain hydrated during the revision as well as the exam time.
- Take Regular Breaks:
When you think that it’s the best time for studying then only go for it to yield a productive result. If you think that you’re more productive during morning hours then start it early so that you can take a break at lunchtime. Or, if you are more productive during night time then take a break before starting. Also while you are studying, take small naps for 5-10 minutes to refresh your minds.
- Try to explain the topic:
At last, I am giving this from my personal experience and tip on how I study. Parrot learning is not a way to prepare for your exam; you must also understand the concepts. Try to explain the topic to others or to yourself, this will help you know how much you have understood and will help you in remembering the topic.
