The syllabus of Chemistry General B.Sc Gauhati University is as follow-
The 1st Semester of Chemistry General has 1 paper. Paper 1.1 includes questions from Structure of matter, Covalent bonding, Ionic bonding and intermolecular forces and States of matter.
The 2nd Semester of Chemistry General also has 1 paper. Paper 2.1 includes questions from Hydrocarbons (I, II, III), Chemical Thermodynamics and Phase Rule.
The 3rd Semester of Chemistry General has 1 paper. Paper 3.1 includes questions from Chemistry of non-transition elements I & II, Transition elements and Electrochemistry.
The 4th Semester of Chemistry General also has 1 paper. Paper 4.1 includes questions from Aliphatic and aromatic hydroxyl compounds and ethers, Aliphatic amines and aniline, Aliphatic and aromatic carbonyl compounds, Aliphatic and aromatic carboxylic acids, Amino acids, carbohydrates, fats and oils, Chemical kinetics and surface chemistry and Ionic equilibrium.
The 5th Semester of Chemistry General has 1 paper. Paper 5.1 includes questions from Chemistry of materials, Principles of chemical analysis, Principles and applications of spectroscopy-1 & 2, Nuclear chemistry and Lanthanides and actinides.
